My mother, 86, has congestive heart failure. She's taking diuretics. Leg pores pouring water. Normal?

It could be that she needs an increased dose of her diuretic, or it could be from venous insufficiency, or a combined effect of both CHF and venous insufficiency. She needs to see her doctor again, sooner if this is a brand new finding. In the meantime, she should keep her legs elevated when at home, and if she can tolerate it, support stockings may help too.|||NOO that is not normal. That is called weeping edema. You only see that on people with VERY severe right-sided heart failure. She needs to be evaluated by he doctor right away about this!|||If she is already hospitalized, this is normal, but not a good sign. You%26#039;re in my prayers.|||Not normal. Her congestive heart failure is not being treated enough. She needs to be seen as soon as possible by her doctor perhaps will need different or increased diuretics, or a different heart medication.|||No.....Get her to the doc. She could have severe edema in which the tissues can not hold the extra fluid anymore. Her legs need to be treated so a secondary infection does not occur.|||These signs are consistent with her CHF. She needs to she her cardiologist who may up her water pill or add digoxin. Otherwise she will need local wound care..ask about the UNA boot.|||Weeping is not normal for healthy tissue. You need to contact the doctor or go to the ER. I%26#039;m not sure how serious it is.
