Dry Skin and pores coming out? what does that mean?

i have dry skin and it looks like my pores are sticking out what could this be?|||Dry skin types have to be extremely careful to protect their skin. Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/

Why are my pores so big?

The pores on my chest are really big and I don%26#039;t know why. They%26#039;ve been like this for years now and it embarrasses me when I wear my bikini top. My husband doesn%26#039;t like the way it looks either and my mom always use to think there was something wrong with me when I was a teen. Why are they so big and what can I do to make my pores smaller? Thanks in advance for your help :)|||Try using firming cream.

Product to reduce pores?

I have lots of pores and I want them to go away. Should I get the Clean and Clear daily pore cleanser or the clean and clear daily pore toner?

What are your reviews for these or is there any better product?

Also what%26#039;s the difference between the two?|||i recommend Mark pore minimizer lotion with grapefruit and orange also clean and clear suks for my skin i have dry skin but it depends what skin type you have oily combination etc some products may work for some but not for others and nose strips work too!good luck|||The cleanser will remove dirt and oil. The toner will help your skin remain healthy.|||if u really want to get one of those 2 i have found i prefer clean and clear but really the best thing is pore minimizer|||those really dont work well. try nose strips!!!!!!!!!|||get both (:

Where can i find suntan lotion that wont clog pores?

i want a suntan lotion 5-15 spf that wont make me breakout like crazy the next day|||Clarins suntan lotion doesn%26#039;t clog pores. Its really good and I have acne, so if it doens%26#039;t affect me, it should be good.|||neutrogina sunless tan lotion...make sure to clean skin first, and rub it very good..so that there wont be any spots darker than others..|||If you read the back label, it will say %26quot;noncomedogenic,%26quot; Which means %26quot;won%26#039;t clog pores.%26quot; Neutrogena is a good brand to try for sunscreen, I%26#039;ve used it frequently.|||hmm try looking at walmart (they have some) i think|||Mary K, Neutrogena|||COSMECUTICALS|||Neutrogena and Dermalogica are the safest and cleanest I%26#039;ve ever used. I have sensitive skin and I am proned to breaking out. They work great w/o the pore clogging.

Opening up pores, what's the order?

I know that you can open up your pores bu either rinsing with hot or cold water and then close them up again with, once again, either cold or hot water. What is the order? Hot then cold or Cold then Hot?|||Nonoo hot water opens them up, cold water CLOSES THEM.

Try steaming, it%26#039;s great. :D You boil some hot water and then put your face over top of the water and you put a towel over top of your head and let the steam go on your face lol|||start with hot, which opens them up. then cold, which does the opposite. :)

WHAT KIND OF COVER UP/FOUNDATION IS goood on your skin that wont clog pores, or make you oily??

i have tried soo many, but still seem to get breakouts.|||try MAC.

i love mac :)|||Maybelline Pure Stay foundation in the grey compact is great. I%26#039;ve been using it for years and it has excellent coverage without that heavy, pore-clogging feeling. I have relatively clear skin so I%26#039;d say it isn%26#039;t acne inducing. However... if you%26#039;re in your teens I would guess that hormones are causing your acne. If not, try changing up your face washing routine. Usually it%26#039;s not what you put on your face but what you don%26#039;t take off that gives you breakouts. Good luck!!|||try bare minerals it is wonderful|||I naturally have an oily face so I cant escape that aspect. I use bare minerals and its the only foundation I have found that at least doesn%26#039;t make my face feel gross from having foundation mixed with oil on my face. (fortunately they have the oil face wipes that take away the oil and not the foundation) What kind of skincare products do you use? If you don%26#039;t know exactly the type of skin you have, then you may be using the wrong products. I used to break out all the time until I went and got a facial and they told me I was using the wrong products. It made a BIG difference.|||None. Anytime you put foundation on you are plugging up the pores. There is no such thing as a foundation which doesn%26#039;t do this. Anyone telling you otherwise is a liar or ignorant.|||I use foundation from the body shop...Its really nice.. I%26#039;ve been using it for the past 6 months and I love it. Its very light because it has moisturizer in it, you wont even know its on your face!|||Always use a really good facewash. They don%26#039;t cost all that much at all. I now use Wet n Wild fresh face foaming face wash for the skincare collection and I%26#039;ve used it for a day and a half and I barely need any foundation because it deep cleans and balances your skin tone/Ph.

I use Jane foundation. It%26#039;s only 3.89 and I use it in vanilla.

Not oily, nothing. Just really good.|||I like Clinique%26#039;s %26quot;Superbalanced makeup%26quot;

The bottle says it absorbs oil where oil control is needed and moisturizes where hydration is needed.

It%26#039;s oil free.|||Arbonne has a really good foundation and mineral foundation! it does not have mineral oil in it and that is what cause most of the pore clogging!!!|||I really like AquaSmooth by Cover Girl.|||You my have already tried it...but if not...

...Try GLA. It%26#039;s a natural product that evens out your hormones...works for me. I also recommend vitamin E.

Can anyone recommend good product for clearing blocked pores?

i look after my skin well i do wear makeup every day to work, does anyone know of a good product to clear blocked pores.thanks|||Any product which contains non alcohol based astrigents and is labelled as %26quot;non-comedomic%26quot;, which means it will not cause blackheads.

Alcohol based cleansers strip the skin of sebum, it%26#039;s natural lubricant. The skin then goes crazy making more which makes it shiny and more prone to blocked pores as a result.

Distilled Witch Hazel solution is a great cleansing product, effective and completely natural. It has the added benefit of being cheap and is available from any chemist/pharmacy.|||i hear that proactive is a really good product|||I had blocked pores on my nose for many years, but too small to squeeze. I used the clinique toners and they didnt work. Then five years ago I discovered Liz Earle%26#039;s Cleanse %26amp; Polish Your skin glows from the first time you use it. It is completely non-allergenic, and has won loads of awards. Its a cleansing cream that you apply to your dry face even over make up. rub it in then you wipe it off with the muslin cloth provided, dipped in hot water and wrung out. For the first time in 30 yrs, I had no blocked pores, it got rid of them all. It costs about 拢10 and that will last you a couple of months.

Here is a link http://www.lizearle.com/products_details鈥?/a>|||exfoliating products would do that. i have problems with the pores around my nose so i get a facial peel done once a month by a beautician and i also exfoliate twice a week. the facial peel is definitley worth trying. i couldnt believe the difference it made to my skin the first time i had it done. i get black pores on my nose and the peel totally gets rid of them.

if you dont fancy paying to get it done then clarins have some really good products. they do their own facial mask peel. it doesnt have quite the same effect but it does work well.|||A weekly sauna is the only way.|||Use Clinique%26#039;s toner - you have to go to the counter at boots to see what skin type you are. It is VERY expensive but my skin has never looked so good. It gets more crap out of your pores than any other toner money can buy so it is worth it!

Enlarged pores wont go away?

I have enlarged pores which I have tried to minimize with a few products but they wont effectively go away.

I have tried dove(for all skin types),loreal( for oily skin) and dr lewins(for dry skin). What possible reason could this be? what product should i use?|||Enlarged pores never go away. Just try and minimise them by using a product that will reduce the oiliness of your skin, because oil is what causes them. you usually find that enlarged pores are located in the T section of the face.|||This is what I do to keep my pores tiny and barely visible:)

1. wash my face with Biore(pore minmizing soap)

2. I use a Neutragena Pore Minimizing Toner(in a pearl white bottle around $6)

3. I use a %26quot;healthy lotion%26#039;%26#039;(i.e. Aveeno lotion or if you have acne then Repairing lotion) to seal my pores so throughout the day they stay clean :)

You will see a difference after doing this atleast for a week(Day and night)

Also sodas arent good for the skin so stay away from that too :D

Is there a foundation that doesn't clog pores?

I recently stopped using foundation when I realized that it was contributing to enlarged pores. I know that there are always products that people claim have a non-clogging formula, but wouldn%26#039;t it stand to reason that anything that sits on one%26#039;s face all day-no matter whether it%26#039;s oil-free or noncomedegic-would inevitably clog the pores? I desperately hope that that isn%26#039;t the case. Can anyone tell me otherwise, and name a foundation that improves the appearance of my skin without damaging it underneath?|||Neutrogena works best. It has everything and it%26#039;s all healthy for your skin. Now it%26#039;s so much greater that there are foundations that will immediately clear up your skin. Don%26#039;t believe this? Go to the website at the bottom. It won%26#039;t clog pores, dermatologist developed, and oil free. I%26#039;ve used Neutrogena foundation for months and its been great on my skin.

http://homebeautytips.blogspot.com|||I believe that oil-free infact does not clog your pores.|||Non-comedogenic means a product doesn%26#039;t clog pores. but remember your skin is building up oil and bacteria all day. so if you want to keep your pores clear you should probably wash your fash during the day and reapply your foundation. your best bet is probably to skip foundation all together. try using blot powder and see how that works for you. but if you must use foundation try mary kay, that worked well for me in the past.|||Use an oil-free foundation. But, most importantly, NEVER go to bed at night without removing your makeup. Which is best skin care system for Pores?

take about four aspirin and dissolve them in a few drops of water.. add in a squirt of honey and make it into a paste.. this can be used as a scrub, mask if left on for ten minutes, and a spot treatment left on over night..

aspirin has the same active ingredient as pro active..

also.. a trick i use is to scrub my face with an electric toothbrush.. it%26#039;s sounds weird but it works.. it cleans out your pores really well and removes dead skin, dirt, and oil.. it%26#039;s an exfoliant.. you can use what ever scrub you have or the aspirin i mentions.. i like to use st. ives..

wash your face each morning when you wake up, before you go to bed, and after exercise.. don%26#039;t wash excessively because this makes your face produce even more oil..

warm water opens pores and cold closes them.. so wash with warm and rinse with cold..

watch the make up you use.. a mineral based make up is better for your skin.. it doesn%26#039;t clog your pores or make you break out.. i use bare minerals brand of make up..

and you may want to get a good toner and moisturizer.. not astringent because it contains alcohol and is rough on your skin..

i hope this helps..

Do pores get enlarged when in the sun without sun screen?

No, but you can develop brown sun spots from the skin damage.

Enlarged pores wont go away?

I have enlarged pores which I have tried to minimize with a few products but they wont effectively go away.

I have tried dove(for all skin types),loreal( for oily skin) and dr lewins(for dry skin). What possible reason could this be? what product should i use?|||I%26#039;ve been struggling with the same issue since puberty! And throughout the years, I%26#039;ve tried everything to make them go away, and unfortunately, I have to say that you can%26#039;t, unless you%26#039;re willing to undergo laser treatment which shrinks them a bit but it%26#039;s very expensive and you%26#039;ll be bright red. Your pore size is genetic, and that%26#039;s just the way it is.

What you can do is keep them clean, which makes them less noticeable. I think those pore strips work the best here, and use a good exfoliating face wash (I%26#039;m using Jan Marini Bioglycolic and I love it).

Any way to shrink the size of pores?

my poors (mainly just on my nose) are huuggeee, and always noticable. is there anything i can do that will help minimize the size?

(washing face with cold water doesnt help btw)|||YOu should Buy a toner. They help shrink pores and clean your skin a lil bit more than your face wash does. You can buy toner at any drug store. Also you can buy the new pore minizing makeup. it really works!|||Use Revitol Anti Aging cream for best results. How about try their free trial here so that you can try it.

Will using sunblock over acne medication(lotion), lose the effectiveness or clog pores more?

Some sunblock will clog pores for sure. You should have seen my teenagers face breakout after she put it on. She uses Proactiv - but the sunblock did her in. She changed to a Clinique brand of sunblock and the acne went away. I think it matters what sunblock you%26#039;re using.|||well, this is a tough one. acne for awhile, or malignant skin cancer that could kill you. hmmm... let%26#039;s see. okay, here%26#039;s a serious answer. never buy anything to put on your face that doesn%26#039;t have the word %26quot;non-comedogenic%26quot;. if this is on the bottle, then it is formulated not to clog pores. you may end up paying a little bit more, but it won%26#039;t cancel out your acne medication (causing you to keep buying more and spending more money... see?) also, try warming your face with a washcloth before applying acne meds, then wait a sec and place a cool cloth over your face (not wiping off meds, just cooling pores), then apply a non-comedogenic sunscreen. this should allow the acne med to really get into the pores where it needs to be and then tightens the pores just a bit for the sunscreen.|||Um, in my opinion, since sunblock already is, itself, a form of lotion, I%26#039;d say just wear that and skip the acne lotion on those days, or times of day. Like others said, there are certain sunblock lotions that will cause break outs b/c they have oil and alcohol n all that crappy shet in them, so you should look around for clean ones. I read that coconut oil, is the best natural sunblock there is, olive oil works too. As soon as you know you won%26#039;t be in sun much for the day, wash your face and apply the acne.|||No never should it happen that way. instead, you OUGHT TO put both moisturizer and sunblock afterwards to prevent possible sun burn and out breaks because whatever medication you%26#039;re using will make your skin sensitive to sun exposure. if you don%26#039;t, you%26#039;ll be bery likely to get sun damage and it%26#039;ll take forever to make it healed.

however, you have to make sure the product you use is oil-free and non-comedogenic, meaning it won%26#039;t clog pores. there are different types of ingredients for sunblock. Zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are generally preferred as they are non-chemical related and will not irritate skin.|||I would say that as long as you leave the acne medication on for a while BEFORE the sunscreen so it has a chance to soak in.

It prob would clog the pores but at the end of the day your skin will get more damage from sun than clogged pores. It will clear up :)

I have trapped oil in my pores. I've talked to consultants but I was just wondering if proactiv would work????

I have normal skin and frequently get zits. Does proactiv work on that kind of acne and trapped oil in pores???? Tell me your opinions! I just wanted to know how it worked before i bought it!!!|||My sister uses proactive and it works wonders for her skin and acne|||Proactiv DID NOT work for me, my sister, or my boyfriend.

Now we all use Loreal Dermo-Expertise Adult Acne Response.

It%26#039;s a three step treatment, just like Proactiv. It includes the face wash, toner, and treatment lotion. Use it twice a day.

It%26#039;s about $20, but if you open the box in the store, there is always a $3-$5 coupon inside!! It can be bought at superstores (Wal-Mart, etc.) or drugstores (Walgreens, etc.).

I absolutely love this product, I have been using it for 2 1/2 years and it has yet to fail me! (I have been suffering from acne for several years, I have tried everything under the sun, and this is the only product that works for me!)

The Proactiv irritated my skin, it made my entire face red and puffy. Loreal has never done that to my skin.

Good luck!|||PROACTIV is the best solution for any type of skin problems. I used to have razor bumps in the back if my thighs, even proactiv cleared that. So i do recommand using proactiv, it cleared my skin and now i have a baby%26#039;s skin. Also try washing your face with jus waster and soap. it clears away oils from the pores and skin.|||maybe you should go get a facial, it%26#039;ll probably help a lot more.|||proactiv didnt work for me at all but u can try it|||Proactiv works differently on dfferent skin types. The only way to know if it will work for you is to try it, and give it at least a month. I was hopeful and gave it 2 months but my acne only got worse. however, when my brother started using it his skin cleared up almost right away.|||It didn%26#039;t work for me. Waste of money|||You could try it, it works for many people (although for some others, it doesn%26#039;t).

What I do when I trap oil in my pores is put my face in front of a steaming bowl of water for a few minutes (exposure to steam opens up your pores), then I use sea breeze astringent to get the oil/bacteria out. It works! I don%26#039;t have nearly as many blemishes/zits as I used to.|||I tried Proactive and it made my face dry - not to mention it has some pretty harsh chemicals in it. I like Arbonne%26#039;s Clear Advantage Acne line - it has a cleanser, toner, and lotion and a vitamin that clears the toxins out of your skin. It%26#039;s made out of botanical/herbs and has zinc in it which heals your skin faster. They also offer a 45 day money back guarantee.

It takes 4-6 weeks for your body to really truly adjust to a new product. It%26#039;s never going to go away if you are only treating it topically. Arbonne has salicylic acid in it, but many other natural ingredients as well.|||i tryed it it sux it works horrid it made it worse so just use the little clensing pads like oxy pads they work better.|||Proactiv (sort of) worked for me. it worked when my mom was younger, on my brother. However, if you have extremely sensitive skin, you should avoid it. Also, proactiv doesn%26#039;t always work on everyone|||Yes I used Proactiv and let me tell you it works! But if you have sensitive skin like me use it like every other day.

What are the functions of nuclear pores? Describe?

nuclear pores of a cell|||Nuclear pores allow the transport of water-soluble molecules across the nuclear envelope. This transport includes RNA and ribosomes moving from nucleus to the cytoplasm and proteins (such as DNA polymerase and lamins), carbohydrates, signal molecules and lipids moving into the nucleus. It is notable that the nuclear pore complex (NPC) can actively conduct 1000 translocations per complex per second. Although smaller molecules simply diffuse through the pores, larger molecules may be recognized by specific signal sequences and then be diffused with the help of nucleoporins into or out of the nucleus. This is known as the RAN cycle. Each of the eight protein subunits surrounding the actual pore (the outer ring) projects a spoke-shaped protein into the pore channel. The center of the pore often appears to contains a plug-like structure. It is yet unknown whether this corresponds to an actual plug or is merely cargo caught in transit.

What is the best advance hydration cream that doesn't clog pores?

Hydrating Creme Concentrate and the Hydrating Creme Extreme by Bee-Luscious Cosmetics. You can find them at beeroyalproducts.com. They have no oils or petroleum jelly to clog your pores. Both are made specifically for the face. they also have a Hydrating Creme Concentrate for body that is a great body moisturizer and it also has no oils or petroleum jelly.

Does wearing powder makeup without any base or foundation clog pores and cause blackheads?!?

It should not clog your pores if it%26#039;s non-comedogenic. Good brands are Neutrogena and Clinique. Those are good brands that are also pretty good for your skin. And they shouldnt make your skin oily. Good luck!|||lots of makeup can clog pores and give u breakouts. look for makeup that says %26quot;Noncomedogenic%26quot; that means it wont clog pores.|||i just did that today and my face got blackheads in the next couple minutes!

Im using nivea oil control moisturizer, can i use a face toner bcoz got lot of pores....anyone help me...?

You can use toner, but toner doesn%26#039;t minimize pores. Nothing can physically minimize pores. Some product can make pore look smaller, but nothing physically minimizes pores because pore don%26#039;t have the function of minimizing or expanding.

You can buy primers that go under you make up or foundation that make your pores look smaller. I use the primer from Bare Minerals. The oil reducing one.|||All of the answers so far are great...however, if you overuse products that %26quot;dry%26quot; up oil and your skin, you will have more problems. When you dry up your skin, it gets the signal to make more oil...becomes a vichous cycle. I would use a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil, and then a toner by Neutrogena. If you must use a moisturizer only use on parts of face that are dry....|||Use witch hazel as a toner first then apply the moisturizer. * Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum – Petroleum products that coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatologic issues. Slows cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer. Disruptive of hormonal activity. By the way, when there’s an oil spill in the ocean, don’t they rush to clean it up – fast? Why put that stuff on your skin?

* Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

* Phenol carbolic acid– Found in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

* Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, and may inhibit skin cell growth or cause skin irritation.

* Acrylamide– Found in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

* Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), also known as sodium laureth sulfate (SLES)– Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived

* Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

* Dioxane– Found in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin.

Dioxane’s carcinogenicity was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”.

Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

IF SO, you should throw them away IMMEDIATELY and substitute virgin/extra virgin olive oil or a natural coconut oil to moisturize in the meantime until you find a better alternative!!! Tell ALL your friends and family!!!|||A really good toner should help with that problem, and rub orange skins on the areas where there are large pores.

I%26#039;m a male senior in high school. I%26#039;ve had an acne problem my whole high school term and it%26#039;s greatly affected my social status, no matter the situation. Some days it doesn%26#039;t matter, but every time I look in the mirror I%26#039;m left with almost 0 confidence.

I%26#039;ve used the Proactive Solution products daily and it has little effect.

People say I%26#039;ll grow out of it, but what else can I do besides wait?|||Yeah I know how you feel.. everyday you wake up with more spots

I haven%26#039;t found a miracle cream but make sure you eat lots of fruit and veg, exercise but if you get hot and sweaty, wash your face/ have a shower as soon as possible afterwards as sweat can block the pores and cause more spots. Drink plenty of water and try to put as few chemicals or creams on the skin as possible.

If you havent already been, try going to a dermatologist

Hope this helps :)

How to make pores smaller?

how can a guy make the pores on his face smaller without buying lotion and stuff like that?|||Enlarged pores are due to oily skin. I use Nu Pore strips on my nose. They really pull out the gunk and then my pores looks smaller. About home remedies, place boiling water in bowl, drape towel over head to make like a tent. Keep head a few inches from water. Stay like that for about 15 mins. then wash your face with face wash. The steam really opens your pores allowing your skin a deeper cleaning. Do this about once a week. It%26#039;s great for your skin.|||make sure you wash your face daily, use warm water when applying your face wash and use cold water when you%26#039;re rinsing it off, that will close your pores aka make them smaller. then use an astringent but only around the area where you want to shrink your pores.

and sea breeze astringent for senstive skin ($4 for a 16 oz bottle. it lasts forever)|||Don%26#039;t use glyceryn or alcohol based soap. Those will permanently enlarge your pores.

Before you wash your face, go to the kitchen and bring a small handful of oatmeal(better when whole) with you to the bathroom. Fold a wash cloth so that it%26#039;s the size of your palm (or try folding it into quarters).

Put the oatmeal on it and dribble warm water over it to soften the oatmeal. When it start getting soft then lift it up to your face and wash your skin with it, massage a little longer around where your pores are the largest.

Keep your face over the sink because some oats may fall off the washcloth, so it%26#039;s better that they end up in the sink. When you%26#039;re done rince your face and pat dry.

Why might my pores be getting bigger?

can get bigger if you use a steamer/sauna

What causes large pores? And how do you avoid them?

There are two main factors that contribute to large pores: genetics and age. People who have skin that is naturally thick and oily tend to have larger pores. As people get older, too, sun damage and decreased skin elasticity can cause pores to dilate. The skin thickens, causing tiny cells to collect around the edge of the pores and make them look larger. Blackheads are also a big contributor to large pores. When the pore becomes clogged by dirt and bacteria, oil within the pore begins to accumulate, causing the pore鈥檚 diameter to expand.

Unfortunately, there is no way to permanently shrink large pores. The good news is that the appearance of large pores can be greatly reduced in a number of ways. For example, cleansing the pores of debris, excess oil, and bacteria will significantly reduce their prominence. This can be achieved by using a low-strength topical medication or face wash containing retinol or vitamin C. These antioxidants help the skin increase collagen and elastin production while simultaneously loosening dirt and oil from the pores.

Exfoliation is also key to minimizing the appearance of large pores. This can be accomplished using an at-home facial scrub or by visiting a spa or dermatologist for a microdermabrasion treatment. Microdermabrasion is a special type of facial that gently scrubs off the dead surface layer of the skin, revealing softer, healthier skin beneath

Never underestimate the power of cosmetics to minimize even the most prominent of facial flaws. Try reducing the appearance of large pores by using the following technique:

Start with a pre-foundation skin primer, which will help even out your skin tone and keep foundation from soaking into your pores.

Let the primer dry, and then apply your foundation using a makeup sponge. Use a cream or cream-to-powder foundation, which is more likely to conceal large pores than liquid foundation.

Finally, dust your face with a loose translucent powder. Large pores will be less visible, and your skin tone will appear more even.|||Ask your Dermatogist about Accutane! :D

I have large pores that are noticibly big on my face. how can i decrease the size of them?

Biore pore strips, cheap from chemists.

It also helps if you %26quot;steam%26quot; your face once a week, you hold a boling flanel to your face and repeat 6 times. It makes them appear smaller|||They are probably due to the oil in your skin. Kiehl%26#039;%26#039;s makes a super product called Blue Astringent. It dries up oil which helps the pores shrink.

How can i reduce the size of my pores under my eyes?

try applying cucumber juice from fresh cucumbers. Run a peeled, fresh cucumber ( buy the one that comes in a plastic wrap) through a juice maker and use it to wash your face with every morning instead of a regular cleanser.

1. Splash your face with water

2. Smoothe the cucumber juice over your skin

3. Leave it on for a few minutes

4. Rinse it with water only

This should make your skin feel smoother and tighter and reduce your skin%26#039;s oil production.

Hope this helps.

How much is it to remove large pores with @ the derm's?

Skin care (for your skin type) is the answer to large pores. I used to have them too and was introduced to aularale.com/7002. I masque 2-3 times weekly (oily skin) and use the vitamin c serum before moisturizing.|||There is no such thing, you can%26#039;t remove large pores. You can refine them with creams and such but that is a temporary solution, as soon as you stop using the creams, they return to their normal size. Pore size is in your gene%26#039;s sorry. Your best best is to keep your face clean and exfoliated, this will help with the appearance of your pores.

Good Luck|||Well there is so such thing. You can%26#039;t just pull out a pore. Larger pores are genetic and also what skin type you have.

The only thing that you can do is make sure the pores are clean with extractions, if they are then they won%26#039;t be stretched. Also, using glycolic acid on the skin will reduce the amount of oil in the face hence reducing pore size. That%26#039;s it.|||I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA AND IT COST ME $4,558.84 IN U.S DOLLARS!!!!

Does powder from a makeup compact clog pores?

Depends if yours contains oils. I like Almay, but I mostly use Physcians Formula mineral pressed powder and it doesn%26#039;t clog my pores.|||yes, so wash your face good|||NO, most makeup sold is non-comedogenic which means it has been formulated to not not clog pores. Make sure your powder says that on the label. Cosmetics have advanced so much in the last 25 years that there is no need to add ingredients what would clog pores. That doesn%26#039;t mean you don%26#039;t have to wash your face at night though. Also, make sure you are using a clean sponge.|||many of the ones you buy in stores like target and such do clog pores. if you want something better, you%26#039;re gonna have to go to a department store and ask the ladies working in the cosmetics section what%26#039;s best for you! have fun :)|||Yeh many do, but if you%26#039;re worried if yours does, take a precaustion and wash it off with make up remover or watever when you get home, and avoid cheap-a-cheap drugstore brands!|||im not sure, but i think it doesnt. just rember to wash your face properly. but i definetly no that liquid foundation is much worse than powder|||It totally depends on the type you use and the ingredients it has. Most powders have many ingredients that will clog pores unless you get a mineral makeup. And while many will say %26quot;mineral makeup%26quot;, only a few can actually pass the test. The two I recommend highly is BareMinerals (and Minearl Veil is the exact product you would want) and PurMinerals (which comes in compact from for the non-mess lovers.) Both of these have 100% mineral ingredients, and PurMinerals even had the added benefit of having Vitamin E to furthur help your skin, while both have zinc to help prevent and help breakouts. If you have shine that is a concern, PurMinerals would actually be a great help to you because it has less micah in it, which is what tends to make your skin look/feel shiny and oily looking.

Hope this helps and you find the perfect powder you are looking for!|||The kinds I like best are bare essentials, and other mineral powders (sold at drug stores). They don%26#039;t irritate me. If your skin looks dull, you may need to ex foliate.

Whats a good foundation that wont clog pores?

I just discovered it so I%26#039;m glad you asked this question! I have ALWAYS used a liquid foundation, and recently I was sucked into an infomercial for ID Bare Minerals Makeup and decided to go to Sephora and pick some stuff out myself. I bought ID Bare Minerals powder foundation and I LOVE it. I have combination skin and a few acne scars, and this stuff gives me the most natural, even coverage. I am recommending it to everyone! (It%26#039;s SPF15 too!) Good luck! :)|||Anything neutrogena or physicians formula. NO covergirl! Also anything you buy at a department store will be great but a bit pricey|||Bare Minerals. I won%26#039;t go back to liquid.|||Almay has one to prevent blemishes :) love it!|||I really like cover girls true blend whipped foundation. it goes on like silk and i always feel fresh.|||Neutrogena and Almay!! After using acne medicine i woke up and on my cheek you can see tiny little pores which are crinikly and rough. i think its the medicine that caused it? could there be another reason? Are pores openings of or between skin cells?

Pores are not openings in cells, but hey are not exactly between cells either. They are lined with cells, and have cells other than epidermal cells which are part of them, some producing oil and some producing sweat.|||Our skin cells don%26#039;t have pores. But in our skin there are hair follicles along which some spaces are found which acts as pore and from them perspiration occurs.|||no, pores hav notin 2 do wit skin cells, but they%26#039;re openings 4 ur hair follicles

I am 27 years old with fair skin. I have red spots, large pores and some acne. Any answers for healthier skin?

You could try retin a, which will help clear the spots and acne. Large pores are harder to combat and, unfortunately, there aren%26#039;t any guaranteed remedies. Alot of products claim that they will minimize pores but they don%26#039;t. Helping to eliminate the oil in your skin will help to naturally minimize the pores but you can%26#039;t expect to see extravant results. It takes time... Some people try dermabrasion which is supposed to work very well on pores acne and red blotchiness(roseacia).

If you don%26#039;t want to use retin a, you can try sulfur based face washes and topical acne creams. The sulfur will heal the redness and blemishes, while preventing new blemishes and redness. You%26#039;re skin will begin to look amazing after a few weeks of using sulfur. Think dead sea healing properties, using sulfur is along the same lines.

Other than that, there is the rare minerals makeup products which heal redness and acne. You can wear the makeup over nite and throughout the day. You can use just on certain areas as well.

Anyway, there are so many things you can try. If you can go to a dermatologist, the sulfur or retin a is the best. If not, try the rareminerals products.|||sounds a bit severe.

for fair skin, spend some time in the sun, but not too much(use sun screen). for the red spots, make sure its not an infection or anything. if its on top of the skin, use a toner, but if its in the pores, get prescribed acne treatment. for the large pores:

cleanse and moisturize your face, and put on a thin layer of alcohol based skin care. it tends to seal the pores.

I need some advice, what is the best way to clear blocked pores (blackheads) Ive tried all shop stuff!!!!?

Blackheads can happen to anyone, no matter what your skin type. Blackheads are caused by oil in your skin that gets caught and expands in the pores. Oxidizing from exposure to the air, the oil actually turns black.

what works for some people might not work for everyone but here are some things that you can consider.~

First, stop the problem before it starts. Use noncomedogenic, oil-free, water-based skin-care products. (Noncomedogenic means the products were laboratory tested and approved by the FDA not to clog pores and cause blackheads.)

If you change your skin-care routine and still get blackheads, speak to a dermatologist about getting a prescription for Retin-A, which is a strong exfoliant that opens pores, sloughs off dead skin and cleans out blackheads.

If all else fails, a dermatologic facial performed at a dermatologist%26#039;s office involves a prescription-strength acid that gets rid of dead layers of skin and the use of surgical instruments to extract the blackheads.

Blackheads are a problem that should be treated by a dermatologist. But, if you want to try an over-the-counter product, a lot of people rave about Biore Pore Perfect Strips, which are supposed to lift out blackheads on your nose, forehead and chin.

Hope this helps~|||BOILL WATER ....PUT IT IN A PLASTIC BASKET OR SOMETHING PUT YOUR FACE ON THE TOP OF IT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH A TOWEL!!!!
